A new exhibition of works by photographer and ACS member Norman Parkinson opened at Proud Chelsea earlier this month.
Renowned for his daring fashion photography, Parkinson had a remarkable career spanning 56 years. By moving away from the stiff formality of its pre-war images and by taking his models into the real world and to far-flung exotic locations, he pioneered a new type of fashion photography.
This exhibition charts the transformations that took place in his photographs and offers a lavish portrait and overview of Parkinson’s impressive career.
