Albert Louden was born in Blackpool in 1943 before moving to the East End of London as a child. He left school at the age of 15, after which he experienced a number of jobs. He eventually settled in the fur trade.
In 1962 Louden began to pursue a career in the arts. A self-taught painter, he enjoyed friendships with several eminent artists and curators such as Victor Musgrave. His work has been widely exhibited in London and abroad.
