Alison Pullen

Born in Rhu, Dumbartonshire, Alison Pullen is now a London based artist. She spent 6 years at art college where she completed a Masters degree at the Royal College of Art specialising in Illustration. She began her career as a freelance illustrator but progressed to become a gallery artist known for her atmospheric painting. She has investigated different interiors to produce her artwork including private houses and museums.

 

She has been commissioned to create work for many diverse organisations including The Royal Mail, Royal Caribbean Cruises, the London Underground and the Queen who commissioned two paintings of the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace which hang in the Royal Collection. In 2001 she was the National Trust ‘Artist in Residence’ at Osterley Park House. Prizes include an award of £4000 as Parallel Prize winner for Illustration and the Chelsea Arts Society Painting Prize.
