Bruce McLean

McLean was born in Glasgow in 1944. The artist studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1961 to 1963, and at Saint Martin’s School of Art, London, from 1963 to 1966.

 

McLean is a multidisciplinary artist who works in paintings, ceramics, prints, as well as film, theatre and books.

 

McLean’s solo shows include Tate Gallery in London, Museum of Modern Art, Oxford and The Modern Art Gallery in Vienna.

 

In 1985, he won the John Moores Painting Prize
