Francesca trained as a fine artist in Italy and the UK. She exhibits in the UK, USA and East Africa, specialising in painting wildlife and landscape, and promoting the alliance of art with conservation. She spends much of her time in the African bush, and the British outdoors, studying from life.
Her work is collected in America, Europe and Africa, and she has undergone several commissions for clients in each of these areas, including oil paintings, mural work, and hand illustrated maps. She has won several finalist prizes and commendations, such as the BBC Wildlife Artist of the year 2013 (finalist and commended) and for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the year 2014 and 2012 (finalist with two paintings in each year) She was recently commissioned as a war artist and completed an embed in Afghanistan in December 2013.
