John Davies

John Davies (b.1946) works in mixed media creating sculptures and drawings of the human figure and head.

In the late sixties, he began making body and head casts in plaster and his bleak figures, like Samuel Beckett’s, are strong symbols of humanity. His more recent sculptures, modelled and carved in clay and resin, are brighter, more lyrical works.
