Vassilis Fotopoulos
(1934 — 2007)

Born in Kalmata in Greece, Vassilis Fotopoulos was a celebrated artist, film director, art director and set director. Fotopoulos began his artistic training at a young age under Vangelis Drakos and made his entrance into the art world as the stage designer for the play “Servant Lady” shown at the Athens Opera House. Fotopoulos’ work with the theatre continued with the National Greek Theatre and the Liberal Theatre. Vassilis Fotopoulas moved away from the theatre in 1966 and worked in film, notably You’re a Big Boy Now. He died in Athens in 2007.
