British Landscapes: A Sense of Place
August 27, 2026
British Landscapes: A Sense of Place, featuring work by ACS members Wilhelmina Barns-Graham and Barbara Hepworth, is currently on display at Pallant House in Chichester.

The exhibition, which brings together works by more than 60 artists, traces the evolving representation of the British landscape from the eighteenth century through to the postwar period. Across painting, printmaking and sculpture, the works on display explore how artists have responded to place, considering landscape as a reflection of memory, identity and the lived experience.
