The exhibition brings together a new series of paintings and monotypes shaped by frequent train journeys from the artist’s home in northern Italy to Venice and its surrounding lagoon. Developed over a period of four years, McClure’s works reflect the changing atmosphere of the city across seasons and states of mind, where water, movement and reflection become bound up with ideas of memory, time and uncertainty.⁣
