Elena Onwochei-Garcia: Archaeology of the Unfelt
July 14, 2025
'Archaeology of the Unfelt', a solo exhibition by ACS member and winner of the ACS Studio Prize 2024, Elena Onwochei-Garcia, is now on view at The Paddocks Gallery in Volos, Greece.

Developed during the artist’s recent residency, the installation brings together a new body of work that draws upon ancient and modern Greek material culture to examine the historical marginalisation of the female experience. Through Onwochei-Garcia’s unique fragmented compositions, myths such as ‘Prometheus’ and ‘Leda and the Swan’ are reimagined, enabling once-hidden or ambiguous narratives to surface through the creative process, facilitated by the handmade washi paper.

Until 26 July
