It is with deep sadness that we learnt about the death of ACS member, Françoise Gilot. Gilot was known for her watercolours and ceramics infusing Cubism and Post-Impressionism, as well as her successful publishing career, including her 1964 memoir Life with Picasso. Her work is held by many prominent institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and MoMA in New York, as well as the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris. She was named an Officer of the Légion d’honneur, the highest honour for the arts in France, in 2010.
