Curated by art historian and friend of the artist, Catherine Lampert, ‘Frank Auerbach’ spans six decades of the ACS member’s celebrated career, bringing together intense explorations of the human figure through portraits of family, friends and late-career self-portraits, alongside urban scenes of London. The show marks the first major solo presentation of the artist’s work to take place in the city in which Auerbach was born.
