Howard Hodgkin and Cecil Collins at Piano Nobile

'Painterly Abstraction In Post-War Britain' is a new exhibition featuring ACS members Howard Hodgkin and Cecil Collins, hosted by Piano Nobile's online 'Viewing Room'.
The exhibition explores British artists’ reaction to the Abstract Expressionist movement happening in New York during the 1960s and 1970s.
The influence of Modernism and Surrealism is explored during this period, highlighting the many paths British artists took to pursue pure colour abstraction within their work.
