Major retrospective Julian Trevelyan: The Artist and His World opens
October 13, 2018
Pallant House Gallery presents over 100 works by ACS member Julian Trevelyan, marking the first major retrospective of the painter, printmaker and designer in over 20 years.

The exhibition explores Trevelyan’s unique and experimental style, developed in the early 1930s whilst the artist worked alongside Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and ACS copyright member Alberto Giacometti in Paris.

Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Trevelyan’s death, the exhibition features a broad range of work including the artist’s contributions to the Mass Observation project which depict an array of ordinary lives in the industrial town of Bolton in the north of England.
