Kurt Jackson: The Fowey
January 22, 2024
'I am not alone in thinking and dreaming about rivers, let alone working with them. Rivers are places we find emotive, they carry our memories, feelings and histories' - Kurt Jackson.⁣⁣

ACS member Kurt Jackson’s latest exhibition, ‘The Fowey,’ at The Jackson Foundation, is centred on one of Cornwall’s most iconic rivers, the River Fowey.⁣

Inspired by Wilson MacArthur’s 1948 book ‘The River Fowey’, the show traces Jackson’s journey along the Fowey from its source on Bodmin Moor to its mouth at the port town of Fowey.⁣ The artist’s lifelong dedication to the environment is apparent in both his art and his politics with The Jackson Foundation partnering with environmental charity Friends of the Earth for the duration of the exhibition.
