'Magdalene Odundo in Cambridge'
January 20, 2022
ACS Member Magdalene Odundo has personally curated an eponymous exhibition in which the artist’s works are featured alongside a range of artworks from around the world to highlight the role that Cambridge has played in their career.

Museums hold the key to helping us to develop a visual literacy…enabling the eye and brain to relate to object and to the people who made them.” – Magdalene Odundo

Whilst studying in the city, the ceramic collections of the Fitzwilliam captured the artist’s attention. From Peruvian vessels made in the Nazca Valley, to incised pieces made in Nigeria and Uganda, these objects helped Odundo to contemplate the versatility of the medium.
