Marco Miehling at Platform Southwark and Yorkshire Sculpture Park
March 16, 2018
ACS member, and winner of the inaugural ACS Studio Prize in 2017, Marco Miehling has a series of three exhibitions at Platform Southwark in London in his role as the Illuminate Productions artist-in-residence.

In the first exhibition of this series, There Was Nowehere to Sit: Archetype Triptych, he questions the discourse around site-specific artworks through a new non-site-specific installation.

Later this month, Miehling will return to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to exhibit a new project inspired by his residency at the park from August to November 2017. New piece The Boatswain’s Reclaim will be installed in the Boathouse and plays on the intended function of the building to imagine the return of the Estate’s original keeper of boats, inviting viewers into the space to contemplate its functionality over its aesthetics.
