Marco Miehling, ACS member and winner of the inaugural ACS Studio Prize in 2017, has revealed his most recent commission A Tree is a Big Plant with a stick up in the Middle in Selfridges' Art Block, in partnership with the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
The artist has created a perpetual state of tension between a tree trunk from Hyde Park and the display plinth itself, exploring the transformation of the tree from an object of nature into one of contemplation.
