Marking the centenary of Monroe’s birth, the exhibition brings together photographs, paintings and personal objects that trace the life, career and enduring cultural influence of one of the twentieth century’s most recognisable figures. Works by artists and photographers from across Monroe’s lifetime and beyond highlight the many ways in which her image was constructed, circulated and reinterpreted, whilst offering insight into the creative agency behind the icon.
