Mark Adlington: A Memory of Elephants
September 8, 2018
ACS member Mark Adlington currently has a solo show at the John Martin Gallery. The exhibition showcases a collection of paintings and works on paper depicting elephants, which Adlington produced following three intense months in Africa over the last two years.

The exhibition’s title refers to the collective noun for the majestic creatures, as well as the individuality each of the animals expressed for Adlington, which has resulted in a gallery of individuals in the finished works.

Adlington is a sculptor, painter and draughtsman who has drawn animals since he was a small boy and he is recognised for his fluent style that captures the movement and volume of animals in motion.
