Developed from Bodem’s teaching at The Florence Academy of Art, where Field trained after graduating from The Courtauld, the 248-page illustrated hardback offers a practical guide to sculpting the figure from life. Combining technical instruction with discussion of process and observation, the book explores the principles that underpin contemporary figurative sculpture.
