Sarah Gillespie in Nachtleben
January 13, 2026
Work by ACS member Sarah Gillespie is currently on show as part of 'Nachtleben', a group exhibition at Museum Sinclair-Haus in Bad Homburg, Germany. The show explores the night as a shared and increasingly fragile environment.
The exhibition brings together works that consider darkness as both a habitat and an experience, highlighting Gillespie’s engagement with nocturnal life and focus on the uneasy balance between illuminating and obscuring a work’s subject. Throughout the show, night-time emerges as a space of movement, vulnerability and imagination, prompting viewers to consider what is altered or lost as darkness is steadily pushed aside by the bright lights of the modern age.
