The exhibition focuses on the history of visiting traditional seaside resorts in the early 1900s. The show highlights artists’ responses to these new British holiday destinations, including imagery of workers visiting the seaside for the first time and Victorians embracing new fashions and less prim attitudes at the beach resorts.⁣
