Bringing together more than 170 paintings, drawings and archival materials, the exhibition follows eight decades of Barns-Graham’s practice, from the artist’s early landscapes to the increasingly abstract works of later years. Across the exhibition, landscape remains a recurring point of departure, with experiences in Scotland, Cornwall and continental Europe translated into compositions shaped by colour, movement and sensation.
