David Gardner in Main Protagonist
April 17, 2025
ACS member and winner of the ACS Studio Prize 2022, David Gardner, is currently exhibiting work alongside eight fellow contemporary artists as part of a group show titled Main Protagonist.
Presented by Slugtown, an artist-run gallery based in Shieldfield, Newcastle Upon Tyne, the exhibition explores the nuances of staging an artwork, questioning what is revealed to viewers and what is concealed, highlighting the transient moments when anyone might assume the role of the ‘main protagonist’.
