Serolod: Reality is Relative
June 16, 2025
ACS member Serolod’s debut solo show opened last week at Almine Rech in London.

The exhibition, entitled ‘Reality is Relative’, explores the interplay between digital manipulation and traditional paintings.

At the centre of the ACS member’s creative practice lies ‘prototypes’, digitally altered photographs which are degraded and manipulated to impose unconventional colour palettes and textures on their subjects. By transforming these ‘prototypes’ into finished oil paintings, Serolod underscores the fluid boundary that exists between virtual and physical realities, reflecting a contemporary perspective on perception and memory.
