Shaped by a recent voyage to the remote Faroe Islands, the exhibition translates direct encounters with sea and land into meditations on transience and endurance, where shifting weather and light veil and reveal the permanence of rock and mountain. Through fluid mark-making and layered gesture, Impey captures both the turbulence of the ocean and the slow transformations of the earth, inviting renewed reflection on humanity’s fragile yet profound connection with the elemental world.
