Taking its title from a 1980s Hip Hop record, the exhibition’s works draw on references as wide-ranging as maps, literature, mythology and science fiction, weaving together layered narratives that oscillate between overt and obscured. ‘Distinguished Guests’ brings together pieces created over the past five years, where centrally placed texts, forested landscapes and angular abstractions each trace an interplay between idea and form.
