Presented in partnership with the Stanley Spencer Gallery, the exhibition brings together significant loans from public and private collections in its exploration of the ACS members‘ creative and personal connections to Suffolk.

Focusing on the 1920s and 1930s, the display situates Spencer’s work within a period of profound artistic development, illuminating the distinctive vision of place, community, and intimacy that defined the artist’s contribution to twentieth-century British painting.
