Moss Light, Painting the Atlantic Rainforests brings together work created during a two-year journey across the scattered remnants of the Atlantic rainforest that once lined the western edges of Britain and Ireland. The project charts encounters with ancient woodland in Devon, Cornwall, Cumbria, Snowdonia, Argyll and West Cork, capturing shifting light, dense canopy and the distinctive atmosphere of these rare habitats.
From gnarled oak branches to vivid layers of moss and lichen, the exhibition offers an evocative study of landscapes shaped by time, weather and deep ecological history, with each painting reflecting close observation of these fragile environments.
