Drawing on the Freud Museum as both former home and archive, the exhibition explores the legacy of Paula Fichtl, the Freuds’ long-serving housekeeper, who fled Austria with the family following Nazi annexation in 1938. Pilkington revisits Fichtl’s daily tasks and relationship to the collection, positioning domestic labour as a quiet but generative presence within the space to reflect on routine, care and attention. ⁣
