Marking the artist’s first solo show with the gallery, the exhibition brings together a new body of paintings which explore the relationship between the human body and the natural world. Across Burdett’s works, figures merge with foliage, roots and flowering plants, challenging fixed ideas of the human body as something that exists in isolation from the natural world and instead presents it as something continually shaped by processes of growth, transformation and decay.
