The exhibition explores the Artists International Association (AIA), founded in 1933 by a group of artists committed to opposing fascism and promoting international understanding through art. Bringing together work by core members of the AIA, alongside prominent exhibiting artists who supported the organisation, the exhibition considers how painting, printmaking and other forms of artistic practice became a means of political engagement during a period of profound social and political upheaval.⁣
