The exhibition marks a return to the city where Cunningham was born and raised and brings together the largest public display of the artist’s paintings to date. Drawing on science fiction, ecology, art history and personal experience, Cunningham’s imagined landscapes move between abstraction and figuration, exploring the relationship between the natural world and human experience.
