Somaya Critchlow: Pastels
October 12, 2026
ACS member Somaya Critchlow’s latest presentation of work entitled 'Somaya Critchlow: Pastels' is now on display at Maximillian William.
The exhibition brings together eight soft pastels on paper which continue Critchlow’s exploration of portraiture following her 2025 solo exhibition ‘The Chamber’ at Dulwich Picture Gallery. The small-scale works depict women in intimate interiors and more ambiguous settings, using the softer qualities of pastel to explore colour, expression and the figure.
